The amount of revenue collected at the Customtouse on iroods r-leared for consumption to.H»v wag £533 16s. The revenue for the month ended to-day was £27,864 Oa Bd. The amount of revenue collected on goods cleared for consumption at Dunedin during the in ,uth Of October was £27,748 16s Ud, and the beer duty £1,595178 6d. For October of last year the amounts were £29,340 and £1,309 13s lid respectively. Mcs3rs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. sold at their > ards on Saturday the privileges in connection with the Taieri Amateur Turf Club's race meeting on the Prince of Wales's Birthday, when the following prices were realised:—Outside publican's booth, £3l, Mr J. Laffey ; inside publican's booth, £l2los, Mr J. Laffey; refreshment and luncheon booths, £6 10a, Mrs Beatson ; race cards, £56, Mr K. Langley; gates, £62, Mr H. J. Gourley; total, £llß ss. The same firm also sold the right of the publican's and luncheon booth for the Taieri Agricultural Society's show, which was bought by Mr Laffey for £l3. The bankruptcy is announced of C. J. Olivecrona, wool merchant, in Wellington, trading as Olivecrona, M'Donald, and Co. The firm's unsecured creditors number forty-seven, to whom £7,480 is owing. There are secured creditors for £1,167, the amount of security being £1,237. The largest unsecured creditors are:—Morrison and Co., London, £3,173; Turnbull and Co., London, £2,464, and three Swedish firms, £3OO each. The. assets amount to only £32. Olivecrona's private estate shows liabilities to the amount of £6OB, and assets £l6l. The balance-sheet of Dalgetv and Co. shows a profit of £100,438. Reef ton gold returns for the past week were: Keep-it-Dark, 2220z of amalgam from 114 tons (clean up): for the month the iuiae has yielded 161oz of gold from 264 tons. MrR.T. Wheeler, jun., manager of the Golden Terrace Dredging Company, reports a return of 28oz 12dwt 4gr of gold for week ended 28th inst. Dredging returns:—Golden Beach (fcrdraulic), 420z 19dwt for 131 hours' work; Dunedin, ]6loz for four days; Otago. 40oz for the week; Golden Treasure, 13oz 15dwt for five days; Clyde, 31oz for the week; Ettriok, 21oz for the week; Golden Terrace, 28oz 12dwt (retorted) for the week. The Clutha was reported to have been over 7ft above its normal level. GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORTS. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having held their usual weekly auction sale, when there was a fair attendance of buyers. Oats.—We offered a fair-iised catalogue of Mr to best feed, and quote—Good to best feed, It 11 Jd to 2s; fair to medium, Is lOd to Is lid; inferior, Is 7dtoli9d, ■ Wh.>&t.-Only fowl feed offered, which sold from BslOd to Bs, according to quality. Chaff.-The market is well supplied, and all sorts are harder to place. Prime chaff is worth from 43 10a to £3 1> 6d i fair to medium. £8 to £3 7s 6d j light and inferior, £2l2s Pd to £3. Potatoes,-There aw very few coming forward, which helps the market to keep firm, and we have again to quote prime Derwents up to £9. Donald Retd and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale to'day : Oats.—We submitted an average catalogue of fair to good feed, which was cleared under mobV rate competition at—for good to best short oats 2 > to 2s Old: medium, Is lOd to Is Ud; inferior musty, Is 4Jd to Is 8d per bushel (sacks»xtra). Wheat.—Prime milling is receiving a little attention at late quotations. V£e offered several lines good whole fowl wheat, which sold at 2s lOd to 3a per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes. Our catalogue included both nor« them and southern Derwents in medium to good condition. Competition for all sorts was strong, and the catalogue was cleared at satisfactory values. Chaff.—The market was well supplied, and anything but prime qu dity was not In strong demand. Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin report having held their usual weekly sale of grain and produce this morning, when there was a good attendance of buyers present. Oats. The demand was quiet, and prices slightly easier. Good feed brought Is Hid to 2s; medium, Is lOd to Is lid: inferior, from Is Bd. Wheat.—We offered a few lines of broken and fowl feed. Best sold from 2s lOd to 2s Hid; medium, 2s 9d to 2s lOd ; inferior, 2a 4d to 2s 6d. Potatoes. We offered several lots, and sold same from £Blss to £9 per ton. The market is hardly so firm as it was. Chaff.—Best oaten sold from £3los to £3l2s 6d; medium, £3 2s 6d to £3 7s 6d per ton.
