THE STOCKTON DISASTER.
(Pkr Press Association.) ;v SXPNEY, January 13. After an exhaustive inquiry into the circumstances attending the recent disaster at the, Stockton mine, the jury were unable to agree on a verdict and wore discharged. The chief point of disagreement was whether the colliery officials were guilty of culpable negligence or mis* management. Some considered they should he exonerated, others thought they had been slightly remiss, and that a slight censure wouldmeet the case. The jury unanimously'refused to entertain the question o£, manslaughter.
