TAIFRI AND PENINSULA MILK SUPPLY COMPANY.

The eleventh annual general meeting of tbe shareholders of the Taieri and Peninsula Milk Supply Company, Limited, was held at the Oddfellows' Hall, Stuart street, on Tuesday morning. There were eighty shareholders present, and Mr A. M'Farlaue, chairman of directors, presided, The directors' report was as follows : The directors have pleasure in presenting the eleventh annual report and balancesheet, showing the position of tho company on the 31st day of August, 1893. The balance tor tho year, including bal> iinee 'brought forward (£403 13a 10c!) from last year, is £1,160 10a fM, which your directors recommend shall bt distributed as follows :—£loo to be written off the land in Great KiDg street; a dividend at the rate of 4 per cent., which will absorb £137 16s (this, together with the interim dividend already paid, will make altogether 8 per cent, for the year); and the balance, £922 14s 9d, carried forward to next year's account. The dividend will be payable on and after November 15,1895, at the registered office of the company. Great King street. The amountof milk handled during the year was 1,116,963ga1. During the year we purchased the milk runs of the late New Zealand Dairy Farmers' Company, Moray place, together with the two creameries established by them. The balance-sheet showed that during the year ended 31st August last £29,365 2* 3d had been realised from the sales of milk, butter, and cheese, and that the sum o." £23,304 7s 3d had been paid for milk purchased by the company. On the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr A. (Stewart (Highcliff), the report and balance - sheet were adopted unanimously. Messrs A. M'Farlane and Robert Roger were elected to the two vacancies on the Board of Directors, and Mr W. Hislop was appointed auditor. Votes of thanks were accorded the chairman of directors, the manaeer, the secretary, and the other officers for their services during the year. -
