Napier, s.s., 48 tons, Hansen, for Fortrosr-and Waikawa.

The Herald, from the West Coast, arrived at Dunedin wharf at II a.m. to-day, and lauded coal at the Jetty street wharf. The Wairarapa, from Auckland via East Coast ports, arrived alongside the George street pier at 8.30 a.m. to-day. She left Auckland at 5.30 p.m. on the 22nd inst.; called at Gisborne on the 23rd, Napier on the 34th, Wellington on the 25th, and reached Lyttelton at 8 a.m. on the 20th, leaving at 3.16 p.m., having experienced strong N.E. and S.E. winds with thick weather from Auckland to arrival. THE DIRECT STEAMERS. The Arawa left Wellington on Thursday, Eelrruary 2, at 5 p.m., with forty-seven passengers, and had very favorable weather to Cape Horn, which was passed on February 17 at midnight; thence to Rio Janeiro she experienced fine weather, reaching that port on February 24 at 7 p.m., and after coaling, landing one passenger and taking on bine, left at 11 a.m. on February 26; had delightful weather through the tropics ; crossed the Equator on March 4 in 30deg W., and arrived at Teneriffe at 2 a.m. on March 1), leaving again at 3 p.m. same day after embarking fourteen passengers; thence to Plymouth the weather was splendid; arrived at that port at 6 p.m, on March 16, and after landing passengers and mails proceeded for London. No births or deaths occurred, grid the health of all was very good. Iblpplng Telegrams. Welukotok, April 26.—Penguin, from Nelson. —Kiwi, from East Coast. —Wainui, for Picton. Nelson, and West Coast.—Rotorua, for Nelson. — Takapuna, for Lyttelton. Passengers: Misses Beatty, Whittam, Mesdames TossweU, Hay Hurst, Messrs Russell, Francis, Hart, Hayhurst, Stewart, Haigh, Stevens; ten steerage.—Captain Bendall (marine superintendent of Underwriters’ Association) returned from the scene of the wreck;"of the schooner Annie Wilson by the Mana to-day. On inspection 1 icing made it was found that the schooner was firmly embedded in a cluster of rocks. Her bottom -is seriously damaged, and? water flows in and out with the tide. All hopes of saving the vessel have been abandoned. The cargo is also seriously damaged. In all probability the wreck will be'sold as it now lies,—The announcjmebt of the arrival Home of the ship Blenheim, which appeared in to-day's cables, has allayed the anxiety' which hod been felt here of late for the safety of the vessel. . She was 144 days out to-day. having left Wellington on fixe 3rd December last. —The repairs to the Star of England’s refrigerating machinery will be completed this afternoon, and the vessel is expected to sail fertile Bluff early to-morrow morning. .
