The South Dunedin police received information this morning that clothes and boots, toe property of a man teamed Edward Lawrence, had befen found on the Ocean Beach. Papers were found in the clothes which showed v that, tlie man was a resident of Bannockburn, near CromwelL There were footprints on toe beach near the clothes, which point to his having gone into: the water.
. An entertainment will be given by teachers, pupils, and ex-pupils of toe George etroet Bpliool in the North Dunedin Hall to-morrow evening
The Railway Department advertise in this, issue cheap excursion fares in connection with Fillis's Circus. The annual general meeting of the Dunedin Horticultural Society will be hold in the rooms at Garrisoiy Hall on May 11.
