(Received May 4,1892, at 0.60 a.m.) 'The Times,' commenting on Deeming'a conviction, Bays that a portion of the public will be thankful that a further inquiry into his revolting crimes is unlikely. Mrs Mather indignantly denies Deeming's statement that her daughter was privy to the Rainhill murders, (Per Pbess Association,) ~~ LONDON, May 3, (Received May 4,1892, at 10.25 a.m.) The Press comment on the untrustworthy and extraordinary character of the medical hypothesis regarding tho insanity of Deeming, and applaud the common senee displayed by the jury. AN EARLY EXECUTION. MELBOURNE, May 4. (Reoeived May 4,18D2, at 12.10 p.m.) Deeming, who is now heavily ironed, seems to feel his position keenly. He will probably be executed on the 18 th inst. Though he has not yet confessed to the crime, he admits he has some faint reoollection of the murder.
