LONDON, April 24. (Received Apiil 25, 1892, at noon.)
At the wool sales English buyers are more spirited in their bidding. Victorian greisy combings is fetching A samplo shipment of New South Wales scoured combing brought Is 3d. The total number of bales catalogued up to date is 253,000, of which 242,000 have been sold.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received the following cablegram from their head office, dated London, April 22: —"Wool sales oontinue active; oompetitiqn brisk ; everybody is buying. Prices are firmer. The advance is more pronounoed for all good and medium merinoes," Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agancy Company have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 22nd inst.:—"Since the date of our last cablegram buyers are operating with ppirif. Coarse greasy cross-bred and fine g oared crossbred have advanced \ 1 per lb; otlier descriptions unchanged. L to date 214,000 bales have been sold."
