DUNEDIN PHILATELIC SOCIETY.
The ordinary meeting of tho Dunedin Philatelic Society was held In their rooms, Maclaggan street, last-evening, a fair number of members being present, with Mr B. Biriger in the chair. The'chief business of the meeting was the framing of a rule regulating tbe exchange of t tamps. After considerable discussion, the motion passed on the 17th nit. was rescinded, and the following rale, proposed by Mr Hoofer and seconded by Mr Athta, carried:—"That sheets be balloted for among members present at each ordinary meeting, country and excused members to be included in the ballot. Any member absent from more than one meeting in succession shall ba excluded from future ballots until present at an ordinary meeting. No member to receive the sheets first two nights in succession, and no member to keep the sheets more tjiari two days (Sundays excluded), and that eight sheets be the cruximum number put into circulation at any meeting," It was resolved that this rule take effect at the next meeting. Mr Hooper read an interesting artiole entitled ' Philately as an investment,' from the 'Philatelic Journal 1 of America. The meeting then terminated, and the exchange of stamps was proooeded w.th.
