{Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 7. Mrs Riddiford, aged seventy-seven, died yeitcrJay. She came out in 1840 with her husband, who was one of the founders of the settlement. WELLINGTON, Septembeb 7. In the oase of Goldie v. the Ellis Steamship Company, a claim of L2O for loss of luggage, the Resident Magistrate (Mr Robinson) ruled, on the Supreme Court authority, that he had no jurisdiction to deal with tbe oase.
