MR FISH EXPLAINS.
TO THE EDITOB. Sib,—l noticed in one of your last week's IB3ueß an editorial footnote to your parliamentary reporter's report of what I said in the Houee in reply to Mr O'Conor's remarks aa to what I said regarding him at the public meeting I held in February last, to the effect that your report of what I said at the meeting referred to was absolutely correct. Will you allow me to say that I never have, nor did not the other day in the House, nor will at any future time, deny its correctness. Your footnote was apparently caused by something said by the parliamentary reporter of the ' Daily Times,' to the effect that in the House I had denied the correctness of your report. 1 did not do so, as ' Hansard ' will show, and I now repeat that your report of what I said was absolutely correct in every particular.—l am, etc., H. S. Fish, Jc>\ Wellington, July 6.
