She left Westport at 1130 p.m. on the 24th inst., breasted Cape Farewell at 1.50 p.m. on the following day, and reached Nelson at 9.50 p m.; left at 10 p.m, same day, and Arrived at Wellington at 3.20 pm. on the 26th; left at 5 p.m., passed Cape Campbell at 10.15 p.m, same day, arriving at Lyttelton at 1,30 p.m. on tbe 27th; left at 7 p.m. on the 28th, and called at Timaru. From Westport to Wellington she experienced strong northerly winds, and from thence Btrong head winds to arrival. The barquentlne reported from Oape Saunders at noon yesterday was again reported yesterday evening four miles S.E. If the stranger be the Bonnie Doon, she must have been blown past the Heads -with the strong S.W. breeze, as nothing oould bo seen of her this morning. The schooner Cotnot put out the last of her cargo of timber to-day. She will load here for Napier. The Jubileo steamed down to Port Chalmers at 7 a.m. to-day, and after embarking passengers left in the afternoon for Sydney via Cook Strait. The barque Gleneida was towed to sea at 9 a.m, and sailed with original owgo for Lyttelton. The Wairarapa is taking in cargo for Hobart and Melbourne at the tongue wharf. A telegram from Mokibinui says:—" Steamer Lawrenoe broken her back. Very heavy sea runiiing. Every effort to float the verse) useless." It is now considered the vessel will become a total wreok. Tiie Lawrence was insured for L 2.000 in the New Zealand Insurance Oompany, reinsured as follows:—South British, 1.500; National, L 25 0; National Union, L 250; British and Colonial, L 260; and New fonth Wales Corporation, LSSO.
