She had moderate winds and fine weather throughout the passage. The ship Taranaki was towed clear of the Heads this afternoon, and sailed for London with a full cargo of wool, and, being in fine trim, no doubt she will make a good passage Home,

Westport. —Orowaitl arrivea from Wellington.—Fakaki arrived 9 30 a.m. from Lyttelton.

Russell,— Waihora arrived 5,30 a.m. from Auckland ; sailed noon for Sydney. Sydney.— Wairarapa arrived Tuesday from Auckland. —Rotokino arrived Thursday from Timaru. ARRIVAL OF THE TAIBRI. The Onion Steam Ship Company’s steamer Taieri from Calcutta via Intermediate ports arrived at Dunedin at 5 a.m. to-day, and landei cargo at the Victoria wharf. She left Calcutta on the 26th November at 4 a.m. with a full cargo of Indian produce and a deck cargo consisting of 60 milch cows, 1,000 sheep, and 40 Arabian ponies, together with 63 Native passengers ; arrived at Penang at 4 p.m. on December 3, discharged cows and sheep, took in a small amount of cargo for New Zealand, and left again at 6 a.m. on the 4th; arrived at Singapore at 8 a.m. on the 6th; discharged cargo and left that port on the morning of the 7th; passed through the Java Strait and cleared Banj jwangle at 9 a.m. on December 11; rounder! Cape leeuwln on December 21, and arrived! at Adelaide at 10 p. m. on the 26th; left that port at 6 a.m. on the Slat; passed Swan Island at 10 p.m. on the 2nd inst.; was off Puysegur Point at 6 a.m. on the 7th inst,, and reached headquarters this morning. She had fine weather down the Bay of Bengal, through the Strait of Malacca, and in the Java Sea; from thence to Cape L»euwin strong head winds with occasional gales, followed by easterly winds and seas to arrival at Adelaide ; afterwards she had variable winds until arrival off the Bluff, when she met strong northerly winds and thick dirty weather for twelve hours, followed by flue weather to arrival.
