AN APPEAL FOR HELP. NEWCASTLE, January 7. (Received January 7, 1891, at 11.15 a.m.) The secretary of the Miners’ Union has received a cablegram from Denniston (N.Z.) appealing for help, but, as the message is not signed by an official secretary of the local miners’ union, farther information is required before any action can be taken in the matter.
