The Carisbrook Club was represented by four gentlemen only in its match at Milton with the local club on Saturday last, which resulted in a win for the visitors by 85 games to 37. Theilmann and Harraway <r.) beat Dr Christie and Pres'on (M.); 6—o, 6 -0. 6—o. Rose (C.) beat Grant (M.); 9- 3 Harraway (C.) beat Duthie (M.); 9—l. Baldwin (M.) beat Gibbs (C.) ; 9—B. Theilmann (C.) bent Dr Christie (M.); 9-0. The local men entertained the visiting team at luncheon, and showed them over the pottery works. Tubakina v. University. A match between the above clubs was played at Roslyn on Saturday. After some very good tennis, the University won by 24 games. Subjoined are the scores:— W. Butement and J.
