(Received December 20,1888, at 12 45 p.m.) Two policemen named Bliss and Devine were drowned in the harbor yesterday by a boat capsizing. THE MARITIME COUNCIL SCORE A WIN. SYDNEY, December 20. Mr Spreckles has agreed that if the ban on his vessels is removed he will undertake to employ only Europeans, and the Maritime Council have assented to his proposal. AQUATIC. SYDNEY, December 20. Searle, the champion, states that he has no objection to row O'Connor, but he is determined not to leave Australia at present, preferring to meet O'Connor on the Parramatta. RIFLE SHOOTING.
