THE RABBIT COMMISSION AND
M. PASTEUR. Sydney, June 20. (Received June 20,1888, at 12.15 p.m.)
A disagreement has arisen between M. Pasteur's representative and the Rabbit Commissioners. The former submitted certain conditions for testing the efficacy of the scheme, but the Commission decided that a more severe test than that proposed should be employed. M. Pasteur has been communicated with by cable on the subject. Experiments will probably begin tomorrow in the presence of the Commission. COMMUNICATION WITH THB NEW HEBRIDES;
Sydnev, June 20. The Government propose to subsidise a monthly line of steamers between Sydney and the New Hebrides.
A LEGISLATIVE DEADLOCK THREATENED.
Sydney, June 20; There is the possibility of a deadlock between the two branches of the Legislature on the Chinese Bill, the Council having made some amendments to the Bill. The House has agreed to some of the amendments, but has disagreed with others.
