BRISBANE, Feline ary 20, (Received February 20, 1838, at 2.45 p.m.)

A great hurricane lias been experienced, with heavy rainfall, on the northern coast. The steamer You Yangs arrived at Townsville with her foremast out away and her anchors and cables gone. The captain reports having encountered a hurricane, also that the steamer Geelong was Wrecked on Eouldbr Beach, Long Island. None of the crew were drowned, and there is a possibility of the steamer being Boated. A number of other vessels arc overdue, and anxiety is felt for their safety.
