The Taranaki is rapidly filling up, having now on board 3,500 bales wool and 279 casks tallow. The Invercargill, from Invercargill via the Bluff, arrived alongs-ile the export pier at 7 a.in. to-day. Sho left Invercargill at 8 a.m. yesterday, arrived at the Bluff at 8 ».in., and left again at lib p.m. ; had light S.K. winds along the coast. In addition toother cargo, she brought ISO bales wool for ship laranaki, S3 do for barque Fameuoth, and 613 cases cheese for the lonic. The lonic completed discharging her cargo lor this port this forenoon, and sails this evening for the North. Since her arrival on Thursday morning she put out 1,055 tons cargo, and took on board over 1,100 cases cheese, and about 1,800 hales wool. The Janet Ramsay was berthed at the export pier yesterday to complete preparations (or sailing (or the Macquarie Islands. The Wairarapa was hauled out of the graving dock tills morning. and berthed at the Bowen pier to take in cargo for Melbourne. The Orawaitl, with 800 tons coal from Westport, arrived alongside the Bowen pier at 1 a.m. to-day. She left Westport at noon on the 18th last; passed Oapo Farewell Spit light at midnight, when she met a strong S.F.. wind, and passed Cape Campbell at 2 15 P m. on the 10th, and Akaroa at 0.30 a.m. on the 17th, reaching the Heads at 11.48 p.m., steaming alongside the pier as above. The schooner Alert, which left Napier on reornary 10 (or Dunedin, put into Lyttelton with her mainmast gone. On February 13, twenty-five miles scuth of Cape Palliser, she met a nor’-west gale, losln" her mainmast, galley, and deck cargo. O.plain Bailee received severe bruises, but is doing w.-P.
