VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
The Invercargill Rifles will be represented at the Oainaru gathering by Captain Hawhins, Color-sergeant Paterson, Sergeant Rooney, E’rivates Thomson and M’Kay. The North Dunedin Rifles fired the second competition for places in the team for Oainaru this morning. The ranges were ’2OO, 300, 400, and 500 yards : seven shots at each distance.
