RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

W. Grant v. J. Knight.—Claim, L 4 17s Cd, for cordials supplied. Mr A. Adams appeared for plaintiff; Mr Solomon for defendant, who put in a set-off of L 5 4s 6d, being the amount of a cheque given him by Charles Wilkins, who was at one time manager of plaintiff's business, and which cheque was unpaid.— His Worship allowed the set-off, and gave judgment for defendant.

J. Kedzlie v. A. P. Shaw.—Claim, L 6, damages for the trespass of defendant's cattle on plaintiffs property. Mr Macdonald appeared for plaintiff; Mr Wilkinson for defendant.
