THE CAVERSHAM ELECTION.

TO TUB EDITOR. Sir,—ln reference to the above election, rumor has it that Mr R. Rutherford baa visited the Benevolent Isntitution for tho purpose of trying to Induce the inmates to give him a block vote. Although I suppose there would be nothing legally wrong in him so doing, I cannot believe that a man of Mr Rutherford’s standing would try to induce men who are not capable of exercising their judgment to vote for him. As a warm supporter of Mrßutherfoid I am looking for him to give tho above rumor an emphatic denial. —I am, etc., Elector. Caversham, September 3.
