“ Papa,” inquired a Chicago young woman, “ at the concert last night 1 heard somebody refer to the tout ensemble. What kind of an instrument is that, papa ?” Papa (not quite sure of himself): “ I think it must be French for trombone !”— ‘ Life,’ At a recent New York wedding the bridesmaid was herself engaged to marry the bridegroom a year ago, “A New York man kissed his wife and died,” says an exchange.
