A WATER SUPPLY FOR ST. KILDA.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—l wonder how much longer we in St. Kilda are to be deprived of our rights of a supply of water from the Silverstrespn. I find sqir t e people jp S}t. Hilda can get the Supply from : South pluhefim through some influence, tut IW poor Ratepayers cannot get it because tj*e present coupcilloraare nqt ’.representing', then* : fairly. They are blind t» the prosperity qf the'place, and the Mayor of St. Kilda does not live among us, therefore our wants are not known to him. I am sure .some of our enterprising City -firms would only bo-too glad to lay on-a supply and wait* tew years for the money, so long as we interest on tljp outlay.
To test the feeling of the ratepayers on the point, I would suggest that the Mayor call a public meeting of ratepayers.—l am, etc, A Ratepayer. St. Kilda, March 5.
