THE OPERA.
'Die second representation of 1' Bobadil" was given at the Princess's last night, before a large and fashionable audience. The opera went much more smoothly than on the opening night, and all the principal airs had to be repeated. Miss Grade Plaisted is a charming actress, and as she possesses a pleasing voice in addition, she is sure to become a prime favorite. Her best effort last night was "To thee I give," in the second act. Mr Harding was in capital voice, and had to submit to an encore for "A Monarch I"; while a similar tribute was paid to Miss Liddiard for the drinking song and chorus "The Scent of the Rose." Mr Lithgow James lent invaluable aid iii the concerted music. The orchestra and chorus did their work admirably, while the pax s&id by Siguora Pasta was thoroughly enjoyed. There was a general call at the end of the first and second acts. " Bobadil" is to be performed for tho last time to-night, and we recommend those who have not yet seen Mr Searellc's production not to lose this opportunity. On Monday night Lecocq's " Madame Angot" will be presented. Those who have seen Miss Plaisted as Clairette pronounce it her best character, her acting iu the quarrel scene being simply inimitable.
