Larceny as a Bait er. — Robert Qoodison was charged for that ho, being the bailee of three horses, the property < f John Plaisted, did fraudulently take and convert thejn to his own use, and did thereby feloniously steal the same. Mr Fraser appeared for the prosecution ; Mr M‘Kcay for the defence.— hi this case, which was heard yesterday, and in which the Bench reserved their decision till this "morning, Mr Logan now intimated that the Bench were scarcely at one in connection with the case, and the matter would be further adjourned to Monday.— Accused was again admitted to bail. Drunkenness. William Nee a, Henry Baird, and John Russell were for this offence severally fined ss, or twenty-four hours’. Breach of the Peace. — Franri* Now and William Watkins pleaded guilty to a charge of fighting in Stafford street, and were fined 10s each, with the alternative of forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. Vagrancy. —Jane Broom was charged with having insufficient lawful means of support. —Accused did not appear, and a warrant was ordered to issue for her arrest.
