THE APPEAL COURT.

WELLINGTON, May 20. The Court sat this morning and delivered judgment in the Queen v. Buckley (Christchurch), in which the conviction was affirmed, hi the first case, Rcgina y. W. Waring Taylor, the conviction was quasked; hut iu the second caso it was upheld. Taylor will he brought up for sentence at the next criminal sitting of the Supreme Court. In the case of the National Bank r. Mce (Timaru) the Court granted a rule absolute for a new trial.
