Third Day—(Concluded), In concluding our notice of the Caledonian games wo may say that notwithstanding the bad weather that prevailed on all three days the attendance was larger than at any previous gathering. Drummond looked the most likely for second place, but at the last jump R. Burk was very quick, and making up a lot of ground, beat him on the post. Matheacn disposed of Bowe with rather unexpected eaae, and Donaldson also quickly gained two fails from Wackeldme. A wellmatched pair came out in Henderson and L'Estrange, but the latter's superior strength eventually told. Tiffen had some little trouble with H. Wackeldine, but at last gained a fall by pulling him down on his knees, and another by cross-buttooking him. Aitehison was awarded two falls through showing up. Mawson was odd i man. In the second round Aitehison put Mawson down with some ease, but Matheson had a very tough job with Donaldson. However he at last him, and nejet gained a fall through Donaldson breaking his hold. Tiffen disposed of L'Estrange very quickly. The third round saw Matheson and .aitehison together, and a hard struggle i ended in a decisive victory for the former. In the final bout Matheson threw Tiffen once, but the latter gained the two other falls and took first prize.
