In the Chamber of Deputies to-day the additional war credit of: 20,000,000 francs for defraying the cost of the Tonquiu expedition was voted by a large majority. SERIOUS FIRE IN LISBON. The Guilders, in company with the two other Victorian gunboats, the Albert and the Victoria, will sail for Melbourne on January 4. The scientific expedition to New Cuinea, under Mr Powell, will explore from the Ambernoli River to the Finisterre Mountains, and afterwards from Astrolabe Bay to Port Moresby.
