THE STANMORE ELECTION.
The polling took place yesterday and caused a great deal of excitement. The result was not declared till eight o'clock, wheu it was found that Mr Pilliet was in by a substantial majority. The numbers were: Pilliet 4(io Richardson .. .. .. .. 34.'> Cowlishnw .. .. .. .. 2U
