VICTORIAN LANDED PROPRIETORS.
Tho Victorian Government have just published a L»nd Tax Register, showing (like the ° D.mesday Book " of the Old Country) the landowners, and the value placed on their respective properties. The total valuation is LOi given, but from the tumorous ntgee the following information extracted. It shows that nearly L 2,500,000 in value of land is owned by the settlers who -went over from Tasmania in 1836 to Victoria: whilst 13,500,000 are owned by veritable Scotiisb families.
