OTAGO DOCK TRUST.

A meeting of the Otago Dock Trust was held to-day. Present Messrs R. B. Martin (in the chair), Fish, Hill, Thomson, Tayler, and Rolfe. A letter was received from Mr Connor, acknowledging the receipt of a letter from the Dock Board, dated the 4th inst., and in reply stating hej was most willing that Mr Can uthers should examine the work in any way he might see fit, and all papers connected therewith, on condition that the Trust indemnify him for any expenses incurred. A resolution was passed that in so far as may be found practicable, without prejudicing the rights of the Board, the offer made by Mr Connor bo taken advantage of at once, and that the chairman be authorised to take the necessary steps to lay the whole matter before the Committee.
