Addressing an intelligent-looking foreman, ho said, •‘Surely these men are not mechanics ?" “Oh, no,” said the person addressed, “ they’re not workmen. These are Parliament men.” Inquiring what “Parliament men ” were, he was informed that honorable members were constantly recommending prof to the Minister of Public Works for Government employment.
