Mr M‘Kay’s application to lease part of Berwick was decliued, and instructions given that he be requested to remove from the Crown lands occupied by him. On Mrs Lawson’s application to complete the purchase of block 2, section 5, Nassby, it was resolved that it should be sold by auction at the next sale—upset price L 4 10s per acre. The auctioneer was instructed to pay ever ten pounds to John Pearson for improvements made on section ?, block 60, Lawreuce. On the application of W. 0. Ball,, the lease of the Preservation Inlet Coal Company was agreed to commence in 1871 instead of 1869. On the application to purchase, by Alexander Dasent, 150 acres at Hawkesbury, it was directed that it should be surveyed at the cost of the applicant and offered by auetion—the cost of survey to be paid by the purchaser. The application by the trustees of the Homan Catholic Church, Port Chalmers, to purchase section 411, was agreed to. Price Ll2 10s, to be paid in a month. # The ground applied for by the Town Council of Clyde to be offered for sale at onee was ordered to be sold at the next quarterly sale. It was resolved that the sale of 45,500 acres of land to Mr Joseph Clarke be under clause 3, of the Waste Lands Act, 1866. To be survey ei by the applicants surveyor—the Chief Commissioner bringing it to the notice of the Board, the claim for survey by the district surveyor.
