Fox.” The forthcoming Regatta.— This event, which is to take place on St. Andrew’s Day, is attracting considerable attention, and the preparations that are being made, tend to show that it will be a very successful affair. Our amateur yachtsmen are practising daily; several boats have been imported, and some new ones are building. We to day visited the Planet saw-mills, Cumberland street, where Mr H- T. Green is building a yacht for Mr Robert Hay. The yacht is all but completed, having onlv to receive a coat or two of paint, and have her ringing fitted. She was dasigned by Mr H. T. Uvecn, who will sail her nt the

forthcoming regatta. She will he entered for the (hip and the All Corner s Race. Mr Green has also under weigh a yacht of 104 tons, wh'di he is building for Mr Guthrie, of the firm of Guthrie, and Co. She win be built and rigged in the same way as Mr Hay’s, but will have an enclosed cabin, and befitted with a watertight steering well. She is expected to be finished next mouth.
