SAX BY AND HIS PROGNOSTICATION.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sir —Your well-timed effort to allay the symptoms of incipient panic in respect to the forthcoming sth of October I hope will not be without effect. But it has occurred to me that if you or some of your readers equal to the task would enlighten us as to the recorded instances (if any) in which the sun, earth, and moon have been in a similar position during past years, and with what results as regards atmospheric or marine disturbances, it would tend very materially towards aiding us to form a reasonable idea as to what we may really expect or not expect.— 1 am, &c. Qui Vive.
