SAXBY V. SPIRITUALISM.
To the Editor of the Fvenimj Star. Sir, —The idea has struck me, now there’s so much anxiety with regard to Saxhy’a predictions, to suggest that the present would be a goo 1 opportunity for our friends, the spiritualists, to ascertain through their acknowledged mediums, and favor the public with some particulars of the predicted catastrophe, so that we might have some clearer notions than we at present possess of what may be expected- Purely, if there is any truth in the theory of spiritualists, it would bo a matter of no great difficulty and moreover offers a grand opportunity for them to strengthen their cause, and confer an inestimable boon upon the community at large. 1 may add that, since writing the above, 1 have read with great satisfaction your leader of this evening.—Lain, etc., Pro Poxo Publico. Dunedin, September 20, 1869.
