The prominent features in connection with this Sale, are the peculiarly ad vantageous circumstances under which they were bought, at a time when manufacturers were clearing surplus season Stocks, and London and Manchester warehouses on the eve of taking stock, urgently anxious to conclude Cash Sales, at very considerable Deductions ; the suitability of the Goods to the, requirements of the Colonies ; the great care taken in the personal selection ; improvements in manufacture of fabrics, variety, ami assortment —the qualities and character of which can only be duly appreciated on inspection.

o P E N 1 3ST G A Y , SATURDAY, JULY 31, 18(59. INTRODUCTORY REMARKS. THE following list, having the appearance of being given in detail, shows only a portion of the Stock opened up for sale. The prices quoted, together with the Colonial va’ue attached, brings out prominently the advantages obtained by Cash purchasers. Household Drapery comprises an assortment of goods always in demand ; the more especially at this season of the year—such as Flannels, Blankets, Sheetings, Quilts, Counterpanes, Huckabacks, Linens, Hollands, &c., &c.,—while the prices quoted offer special inducements to those desirous of furnishing economically. The Mantles and Jackets are worthy of special mention, embracing a few select novelties, together with a class of goods not always obtainable and marked for their usefulness. To the Dress Department, I have given my earnest attention, and with long and active experience, and a thorough knowledge of the requirements of the Colonies, I can with confidence invite an inspection of the variety of fabrics introduced, the qualities and selection of colorings, and specially to the value, as conducing favorably to the interest of buyers. The difference in rental of the new premises as compared, with the old, is niqie than balanced by the reduced rate of insurance on brick buildings as compared with wood. It is worthy of remark, that three months ago I tendered an oiler for these same premises'; the landlords being large impmters in the same line as myself, it was presumable that I should ant prove so desirable a tenant as one who was ant importing, and I take this opportunity of thanking them for then kindness in placing the premises at my service, and on terms extremely liberal, enabling me to open up my goods with greater pleasure, and certainly much more conducive to the convenience of those favor-

ing me with their.patronage.
