Sir—ln your contemporary the Daily Times, this morning, 1 noticed a letter, on the abo e subject signed “A Member of the Profession, ” whose remarks in refer, nee to Mr Eatln/ato sitting on the bench, in the case of Fish v. Hutchison, I quite agree with. sir, it did appear to my mind decidedly bad taste ou Mr Bathgate’s part, remember-
ing that he was a supporter of Mr Fish during the late elections, and filled the position of chairman at the “supper” given to that gentleman. Outside people might fancy that his presence would tend to influence the decision of the bench.—Yours dtc.,
