Charges are about to bo made, befor# the Bishop of Adelaide, against several members of tho clergy, for ritualistic and heretical preaching; and in the event of his Lordship declining to take any steps ia the matter, legal proceedings will la instituted against the offenders. The commander of the Hosario states sat he has information of the very worst form of the slave trade having been practised amongst the South Sea Island* It is the intention of tho Chief Secretary of South Australia, to invite an intercolonial conference respecting the intended withdrawal of the Imperial troops from the colonies. The Adelaide journals note that tl o construction of the new reservoir, intended to complete a general scheme of water sapp'y for the metropolis and suburbs, is about to commence at Honor Valley, about seven miles to the eastward of Adelaide, The surface area of water will be 140 acres, and it is guaranteed to store over 900,000,000 gallons of water, at a cost of L 70,000. It is expected to occupy about two years in •distraction.
