AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS

PERTH, Dec. 22,

Lindsay Hassett Keith Miller, and Cecil Pepper will be available for selection for the Australian eleven which is to tour New Zealand in March.

These three players were outstanding members of the Australian Services team which toured England and India.

The Rev. E. L. Klimeck, Chaplain of the R.N.Z.A.F., is returning to New Zealand on the Rangitata. Dr. Klimeck, formerly vice-rector of Holy Cross Seminary, Mosgiel, left New Zealand in 1936. After visiting many Roman Catholic missions in the Philippine Islands, China, and Japan, he joined the Dominican Order and worked in England until the outbreak of war. As a chaplain he served first with the Royal Air Force in England, during the Battle of Britain and the German bombing, and later he went to North Africa, Italy, and Greece. He was one of the first directors of the R.A.F. Catholic leadership courses in England, and later was -the organiser and principal of the permanent Catholic Leadership School established in Rome for the R.A.F. central Mediterranean forces.
