MISSING PERSONNEL IN FAR EAST
LONDON, December 7. Fewer than 6500 Service personnel in the Far East were not yet accounted for, said the Secretary of State for War (Mr. Lawson) in the House of Commons. The work of tracing unrecovered prisoners was proceeding, but it was feared that the chances of survival of the men was now very slender. He was unable to obtain the corresponding figures for civilian internees.
