LACK OF CO-OPERATION

Strong dissatisfaction with the lack of co-operation of club secretaries was expressed at this week's meeting of the Hutt Valley Cricket Association Reference was made to the tact that clubs had on several occasions received warnings regarding breaches ot rules concerning registration ot players, incorrect filling in ot team slips, and failure to telephone results 01. play by 11 a.m. on the day following the match. The playing of men who had already played in another association during the current term was also discussed, and in future, clubs were reminded, stricter control would be necessary it they wished to avoid clashing with the rule book. No more warnings would be issued to clubs, but it was suggested that all club secretaries should re-read the rules governing the activities of the association, taking particular note of all points regarding registration and the ruling covering correct procedure in furnishing teams and results of play, i It was reported that arrangements had been finalised with the Wairarapa Association for the catering ot: teams on New Year's Day at Masterton. The , teams would be the colts' senior eleven 'and a second eleven representing [players of any grade. The team selectled is to be submitted on December 10 jto make it easier for players eonjcernecl to make their arrangements.
