"EXPENSIVE DRINKING"
"It is expensive drinking round a dance hall these days," said Mr. H. J. Thompson, S.M., in the Petone Court yesterday to Patrick Gerald Bolton and Thomas McPherson, who admitted drinking a bottle of beer while sitting in a car outside a Petone dance hall. "It is far cheaper to buy two or three cartons and take them home." The two accused, who explained that they had been celebrating their reunion, were convicted and fined £3 and costs each.
