FREER LIFE FOR THE TWO PRINCESSES

LONDON, November 14. Tha visit of Princess' Elizabeth and Princess Margaret Rose to a theatre on Monday night for the first time without their parents, when they sat in the stalls with two young Guards officers and two ladies-in-waiting was the beginning of a freer life for them. A court official told the Daily Mail" that the King and Queen had decided that now the war was over the Princesses must go about more freely by themselves, with friends of their. own choosing, and live the normal lives of two young girls. The official added: "The princesses choose their own friends. There is no foundation for the rumour that a special rota of officers is kept to go as escorts for the Princesses."
