LONG-RANGE PLANES
CLAIMS BY JAPANESE
TOKIO, October 27. Japanese aircraft designers claim that they have perfected a reconnaissance plane with a range of 10,000 miles and that two of the machines were built. In a test, one was flown 10 300 miles over Manchuria. _Tne other was shot down flying from Shanghai to Germany. It was proposed to begin mass production of a modified version with a 5650-mile range and substantial carrying capacity. Three of these were completed for observation flights over The designers claim that they perfected a jet-propelled fighter able to climb 32,500 feet in- three and a half minutes for defence against the SuperFortresses. . _:.
