S ggJ.g) "We have passed another important milestone in the history of the United Nations," said the chairman Mr. Stevenson (United States), in closing the meeting of the United Nations Preparatory Commission's executive committee. "We have had our differences, but 90 per cent, of our final report which includes the most important provisions, was agreed on unanim "We y'shall continue to have differences, and the more we extend the area of our collaboration the greater will be their number, but we have gone on broadening the area of agreement, and in the process we are learning to understand one another better. The Russian delegate, M. Gromyko, said the executive committee had comnleted a very successful work. ■ P The committee approved the resolution recommending that the permanent headquarters of; the United Nations should be in the United States. The delegates from Britain, France, and the Netherlands stated that they would abstain should the resolution be put to the vote. The committee also approved a recommendation that tne Preparatory Commission should meet on November 23, and the Constituent General Assembly between January 2. and 7, 1946- __
