CAR FOUND BY RIVER

P.A. AUCKLAND, October 28. A* motor-car owned by the Rev. G. Gordon Bell, Cambridge, who has been missing from his home since Saturday morning, was found abandoned on the Leamington side of the Cambridge high-level bridge. A lorry driver reported to the police that at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning he saw a man fall from the bridge into the Waikato River. Formerly vicar of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Auckland, Mr. .Bell was appointed vicar of Cambridge about 18 years ago. He became Archdeacon- of Waikato and Vicar-General of the Waikato diocese. Later he relinquished these positions, and in recent years he has been conducting services in a private house in Cambridge. ■
