PLUNKET BALL DEBUTANTES

Debutantes wishing to be presented at the ball to be held on October 26 by the Wellington branch of the Plunket Society, may now submit their names to Mrs. M. E. Chesterman, Plunket ball secretary, 18 Kent Terrace. In pre-war days one of the most important features of the Plunket ball was the decoration scheme, and this year will see a swing-back to pre-war colour and originality in a Dutch, setting. Hundreds of tulips, windmills, and life-size poster figures are being prepared by the decorating committee under the direction of Mrs. Gilbert King and should prove a refreshing change after the bunting-hung walls of wartime and peace celebrations.
