JAPANESE OFFICIALS

TOKIO, Sept. 11,
General Mac Arthur has ordered the commander in Korea, General Hodge, to replace all Japanese in governmental positions as soon as possible, consistent with safety of operations.
WASHINGTON, September 11
The State Department has disclaimed any part in or advance knowledge of the military orders retaining the Japanese administration of Korea.
