Rec. 10.40 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 10. The "Evening Standard," in a leading article on Mr. Justice Webb's report, says: , ! "The whole civilised world will be aghast at the revelations of bestiality. The report must be read and understood if peace-loving nations are to prevent repetition of such a nightmare. Every citizen will support General MacArthur and our Australian brothers in demanding the sternest retribution. We can take pride in those men who faced the monsters and survived—their bodies frail and tortured, their spirits unbroken, and their faith still strong."
